RBD Community FAQs

The team at RBD Community (RBDC) has announced plans to stop operating as a standalone membership organisation from 1 January 2025 and instead to continue supplying its popular package of member benefits through Rail Business Daily exclusively to Railway Industry Association (RIA) members.

I’m an RBD Community Member – what does this mean for me?

You will continue to receive your RBDC membership benefits package including access to the member portal One Place until 31 December 2024 when your subscription will end. RBDC’s Member Relations & Content Manager Fiona Broomfield will be in touch with you this week to discuss RIA membership options available to you. If you are also a RIA member, please see below.

 

I’m a RIA member – what does this mean for me?

You will continue to receive your package of RBDC membership benefits package as it is currently delivered until 31 December 2024. From January 2025 it will continue to be included in your RIA membership and be delivered by Rail Business Daily not RBDC. From January 2025, the member portal One Place will move to the Member Area of the RIA website so you will only need your RIA login to access everything. If you do not have a RIA account you can register for one on the RIA website in December so you are ready to make the switch.

 

What happens between now and the end of the year?

All RBDC members will continue to receive their RBDC package of membership benefits and access to One Place until 31 December 2024. From 1 January 2025 the same package of benefits and access to One Place will be available exclusively to RIA members only.

 

What will the benefits package be called from January 2025?

Everything in the package will remain the same. It will be referred to as a Business Enhancement Package powered by Rail Business Daily. RBDC’s One Place will be rebranded as RIA One Place.

Will RIA One Place still include bids, tenders and The UK Rail Report?

Yes. One Place will continue to provide members with weekly bids, tenders and funding opportunities, access to The UK Rail Report and more resources. It will also be enhanced to include market intelligence and contract award intel to give members access to even more valuable intel.
